Michael studied regulation at the London School of Economics and before founding an online gambling platform, known as Fantasy Rugger, which was sold to Sky becoming head of statistics at RugbyPass.com. He subsequently co-founded Dataships with Ryan McErlane in 2019.

Dataships specialise in data privacy compliance for SMEs and scaling start-ups. They have created a SaaS product that automates compliance with data privacy laws such as GDPR, CPRA (and many more). Dataships is focused on helping SMEs comply with laws such as General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), by automating privacy compliance
